Jai Uttal, sacred music composer, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist, combines influences from India with American rock and jazz to create a stimulating and exotic multicultural fusion that is truly world spirit music. Bhakti yoga became his personal path while traveling extensively in India.
Jai has led kirtans around the world for more than 30 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices. His sixth CD, Mondo Rama, received a Grammy nomination, and he recently released two CDs for the Sounds True label entitled Kirtan! The Art and Practice of Ecstatic Chant, and, with Ben Leinbach, Music for Yoga and Other Joys.
